Five Months Well-Spent <3

Fri Jan 1, 2010, 6:55 PM
Guess what? I finally beat Persona 3:FES. ^-^ I bought it in August. -w-; I feel so lost now, without my Persona to play. ...Guess I'll go back to my second playthrough of P4. << Bah, who am I kidding? I don't have the time. School starts up again on Monday. ~.~

Also, this website makes me cry for humanity: [link] Especially this one:
"For Christmas I got a life sized Edward cut out. It is now facing my bed so that he can watch me sleep. :) MLIT"
DDD8

And you know what's a cool feeling? Learning that two things you like separately, are actually connected in some way. Like how Neil Gaiman is dating Amanda Palmer, or that Simone Simons sometimes does songs with Kamelot, or Roy Khan with Epica. Or that, upon watching some music videos for the German band Oomph!, I realize that they worked with Apocalyptica on the song. c: (<-reason for this tangent)

So, I had a crazy New Year's dream. I think it could make a good story if I cleaned it up and made it purdy, though I'm going to need to come up with some sort of pseudo-science-y explanation as to why it's possible...

So, the dream began with my dad getting a promotion. We moved to the city and got a penthouse-type suite on the top of a skyscraper. But then we were attacked by a giant T-Rex. Yes. So, we defeated it with Pokemon. My dad's boss, the mayor, apologized for the T-Rex getting loose and showed me and my dad the latest genetic experiments that were being conducted. We saw a bunch of creatures, some combinations of existing creatures (there were a lot of tentacles...), some dinosaurs and some completely new species. Then a few days later, to celebrate the people who defeated the T-Rex, there was a talent show.
Because our new house was being fixed, we went and stayed in my old neighborhood. At the end of the street is a small, marshy pond. As I was walking past it, I noticed a large cat sitting in the water, perfectly content. I smiled and said, "Hi, kitty!" The cat stood, jumped out of the water and onto the sidewalk, were it looked up at me and meowed. As I bent down to pet it, it shot up and turned into a person. She smiled and said hello, in a scratchy kind of cat voice. The cat and I became friends. She explained to me that she was an experiment, but she'd escaped before it was complete, which is why her voice is weird. She wants to find the people who experimented on her and exact revenge.
So, we go to Argentina. (Yeah, I don't really remember why. There was a reason, I know it.) We end up staying with this boy, who's the son of an important shaman... I guess. This part is really fuzzy. I think the guy was in love with the cat, without knowing she was a cat. ...*shrug* So, the bad guys do evil stuff and the world starts going crazy. The cat turns back into a cat and we hide in a church, with most of the other people. The church can't be touched by the evil...ness. The son goes and tries to save his dad, but can't find him. So, we take him back to the States with us to help him try to research what was going on.

And that's where the dream "reset" as I began to wake up.

tldr; I have fucked up dreams.

So, yeah. How was your New Year's?

On the 12th day of Christmas...

Fri Dec 25, 2009, 7:17 PM
I got a cold. Yippee. =A=

Now my nose is doing that obnoxious drippy thing, where the snot isn't thick and so it just runs down onto your upper lip and irritates the skin like crazy. And I keep hacking up phlegm, which hurts my chest something awful. Bleeeehhhh. Better than yesterday, when my throat was on fire though. <_< I get over things fast. Tomorrow, I'll probably be sneezing. -.-

Anyway, to all of you who aren't sick, Merry Christmas. c: I hope you all got what you wanted and a little bit of what you didn't expect. ^-^

I'll see if I can whip something up for my watchers by New Years, but we'll see. =w=;

Snow~

Sat Dec 19, 2009, 5:17 PM
So, as I'm sure some of you are aware, the eastern seaboard of the US was socked with snow today. Currently, there are about 20 inches (~51 cm) of snow on the ground, but this is a picture from my deck a few hours ago, when it was a few inches less. XD
[link]
Those lumps of snow? Pots for flowers. The one in the far left corner is the same one on the ground to the right in this picture: [link] , just to give you an idea of scale.
My mom has a picture of me shoveling the walkway (for the 4th time today T.T), but it's on her Facebook and I refuse to friend her, so I guess you don't get to see it. I look sad, mostly because the wind is blowing snow into my face and my mom won't take the damn picture.

In other news, the 2nd draft of Winter is going well. I find this ironic, considering the time of year.

Now, Audible, I command you to work!!

Busy, Busy, Busy Bee...

Mon Dec 7, 2009, 7:59 PM
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. I am so sick of school and being busy.

Too much crap. Too much whining from parents about a B in English when I have As in everything else. (Yes, my worst subject is English. I'm picky about stuff I really enjoy, so I can't get into the books we read, and my analytical essays suck. It's a wonder I have a B. ...currently, I have a C. Arrrrgh.) Too many choir rehearsals leading up to the concert on Thursday. Seriously. I like singing. I don't like being forced to sing the same songs over and over while putting up with the kids in my choir. ~_~ The freshmen lost all respect from me when they thought the drama director was my mother. I also don't like typical alto parts, where we play second fiddle to the sopranos. Altos have more interesting voices, imo. :/ They should get the melody more, but nooooo... Srsly. [link] Nina Hagen. I love her voice, if only because it's DIFFERENT.

ffff. I just want to quit school and go to sleep.

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 24, 2009, 2:05 PM
So, to catch up with NaNo, I'd have to write about 5,000 words a day. :/ There's no way I can do that on top of work and homework. u_u How depressing.

Still, it was a good exercise and experiment. I'm ready to go back to my primary stories now, especially back to my beloved fantasy writing. *-* No offense to realistic fiction, but writing it bores me. :/ Live an' learn, I suppose.

I figure it's about time to finish Scordate, yes? If I put it up here, would any of you read it? :/ If not, it'll go up on FictionPress (if Mali ever gets any reviews).
